Anthony J. Kim, PhD

Dr. Kim brings over 15 years of innovation in translational nanomedicine, combining chemical engineering and neurosurgery to overcome delivery barriers in oncology. At the University of Maryland School of Medicine he leads the Nanotherapeutics Laboratory and co-directs the Translational Therapeutics Research Group, developing targeted nanoparticle systems for brain and other solid tumors.

As a scientific advisor and one of the inventors of the NOVVA™ platform, Dr. Kim is instrumental in shaping scale-up and translational strategies that bridge lab-engineering to clinical manufacture and therapeutic performance. His deep expertise in nanoparticle formulation, targeting moieties, and tumor penetration will support the company’s next-generation oncology programs.

Dr. Kim earned a BS in Chemical Engineering from Pennsylvania State University, a PhD in Chemical & Biomolecular Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania and completed post-doctoral training at Johns Hopkins University. He has authored ~60 peer-reviewed publications in leading journals including Science Advances and ACS Nano.
